Change is a positive event - Julius from Benchmark

APMI underwent a series of significant events this 2009 that have brought periods of adjustment among its employees. While the objective was for a stronger and cohesive team, associates can’t help but wonder the next steps of the company.

In order to encourage oneness and pursue a forthright attitude, APMI HR Team in collaboration with Benchmark Consulting, conducted a 3 day affair aptly entitled APMI Evolution.


The first day was for Management Associates held at San Miguel Training Center in Tagaytay City last 7th of August 2009. On this day, the great view and cool weather became the backdrop as associates had the opportunity to learn more about each other. This also became the venue for APMI’s Business Campers (Trainees) to build relationships with their colleagues.

The succeeding event was for Rank & File Associates, held at MMLDC in Antipolo Rizal last August 24th. The event became highly anticipated, given the lack of an offsite activity for two years. Being outside the Manufacturing Floor gave them opportunities to take a break from work and share their talents especially during the Teambuilding activity enabling them to act out a scene from a play or a movie.

On the last day, both Management and Rank & File Associates were grouped into APMI House Teams. The Benchmark Facilitators conducted several activities, one of which was a Cheering Activity aptly called, APMI Sulong! (APMI Moving Forward) to the tune of “We Will Rock You”. After the Cheering contest, there were relay games that showed the brains and brawn of each House Teams. As a culminating activity, APMI House Teams drafted a new flyer in response to the ever-changing world of Avon. And as one Associate said, “If it’s To Be, It’s Up To Me.”

In those three days, the objective to appease the apprehension, in light of everything that has happened was achieved. What’s insightful during the three days were not only the fun activities but the action plans made moving forward.
